FLOWER STILL LIFE
A floral still life is a picture of a composition in the plot of which there are always flowers filling the space with the richness of their colours and the infinity of their forms as witnesses of the Creator's creation, whose plan was to fill the world with wonderful beauty living everywhere, dying and being reborn in the cycle of time, so that life continues and is filled with enchanting, rich, magical colours in millions of shades.

Narrative on behalf of the author: ‘I was born in Alma-Ata on 26 December 1957. I started drawing in the 8th grade, when a new teacher of literature came to us. She as a class teacher attracted me to different creative works. It was she who said that I would be an artist. But I became a teacher. I graduated from the Faculty of Art and Graphic Arts of Almaty Pedagogical Institute named after Abay in 1980. When I worked as a teacher of painting and drawing at the college, where future fashion designers and hairdressers-stylists were trained, we, the drawing teachers, organised exhibitions of our own and students' works every year. That's when I started drawing flowers. Our family always had a dacha, where, of course, flowers grew, love for which resulted not only in the creation of my own garden, but also in paintings. It is the flowers of my garden that inspire me in painting.’
The artist always uses his own subjects in his work, creating an author's composition for each of his still life paintings.
With the brush of a true Master, the beauty of a flower survives the short time allotted to it in order to retain its marvellous charm for many years to come.
