MESMERIZING JEWELRY

Narrative on behalf of the Master: “My name is Xenia Samosud. I am an painter-jeweler. It all started in 2012. I came to this profession by accident. I studied to be an architectural environment designer, then I wanted to continue my studies and become a sculptor. But my parents said that this is not a promising job. I came across an advertisement for a job as a jeweler. I called several workshops, and one of them took me on as an apprentice. I worked there for a year, and having collected money, I quit, bought my first and most necessary equipment and started working at home. At first I worked “on the table”, making my first collection. Rarely something published in my social networks. In one of social networks I was noticed by the organizer of fairs for handmade-masters and invited to the New Year fair. I was worried that my works were “weird” and nobody would like them. But to my surprise they not only liked them, they also bought them. There I got my first sales and many warm words of encouragement. Since then I have been working for myself, collaborating with other workshops, small local brands. Now I have been working for 3 years in my own small workshop, making orders and my own author's jewelry. I work with gold, silver, natural stones. For the last 2 years I have been mastering working with stone. I try not to “stagnate” in one place and develop my skills, making more and more complex and detailed jewelry.”


Women look for beauty and uniqueness in jewelry,
but there are women who create jewelry infusing it with beauty and uniqueness,
so that other women can experience admiration and joy.
