Shavkat Khakimovich Ashurov was born in 1968 in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. Since the age of 18 he mastered the art of wood carving. Since 2010, he represented Uzbekistan at international exhibitions on National Craft in Malaysia (Sabah) and Italy (Milan). In 2013, he participated in the regional competition "Tashabbus" and took second place. For the master it is important that the delightful and colorful art of wood carving is preserved in the color of Bukhara culture for many years and passed from generation to generation.
A true Master reveals the ability to feel such an amazing, living material as wood and the art of conveying the entire palette of color with or without paint.
